Spirit of Africa festival bring together contemporary and traditional music, theatre, poetry and fashion in Sheffield, celebrating Africa. The Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra feat Breis and Rapper, journalist and poet Akala headline the event with, Iroko Theatre, Oduduwa Talking Drummers Aar Maanta, Breis, Nambula and Sheffield’s own K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade also on the line-up.
More than half of the festival’s events are free to attend including free workshops in drumming, writing, dance and storytelling.
